Product Aftercare
Planed Finish
Planed wood is untreated, we recommend sanding and oiling for optimal results and to bring the grain out. The oil you apply will depend on the intended use of the wood. We would recommend mineral oil for non hard wearing pieces e.g. shelves, serving boards and anything housing food. Then Osmo oil for more hard wearing pieces e.g. a desk, table or bar top.
Sanded Finish
Sanded wood is ready to be finished with your oil of choice depending on it use. Further sanding can be applied if desired. If your board has bark on the edges, this may fall off over time and we would recommend sanding the edges if you can to avoid anything catching.
Oiled Finish
Oiled wood is ready for use! The oil can be applied as little or as often as you like depending on how you would like the wood to look. Please contact us to find out exactly which oil we have used if you wish to re oil your board in the future.
